Help With Diabetes And Help With Renewing The Passion.

Products Are The Business: Paulette recalls for us a story about a customer who tells her about her husband’s recent diagnosis of diabetes. Paulette tells her about several, helpful Melaleuca products, including our product of the week, Simply Fit Hot Cereal (oatmeal) which is a November Special.

Our business development discussion begins with a recap of the recent ELC meeting in San Antonio. Paulette reports that the theme of the meeting was “Getting Back To Basics”.

As we all know, the basics are our Melaleuca products. Do we know enough and do we share enough with our customers?

Two books by R.M. Barry can help; “The Wellness Guide” and “Built On Solid Principles” will get your enrollments on the right track. (There was a minor interruption when Eddie starts the story of Shirley. We apologize as it was unavoidable.)

Age Well With Cellwise And Lead Well With These Tips.

If you have a personal that fizzled, Ed warns us that you may have fizzled on them. Lead your team and not vice versa or there is no leadership. Do they just want to make money or do they want to WORK and make money? Find out early. Don’t forget to assess your timing in their lives and in yours. It is critical Paulette tells us. Don’t be afraid to re-evaluate if your enrollment is coachable. If not, get the pebble out of your shoe and move on, Ed says.

Do a self-inventory. Where are you in your business in the last 90 days? If you don’t like it, change it. Remember help them if you can, but don’t be afraid to move on if they don’t want to wear the Melaleuca 'uniform' and play on the team.

Snack On Tasty Treats and Treat Yourself To Some Tasty Networking Tips.

Ed is Ill and was not able to join the call, but in his absence, Cisco Holland, a soon to be Senior Director joined us for some great conversation.

Get Holiday Ideas In The New Holiday Catalog and Get Back To Basics To Assure Your Success.

Products Are The Business: Paulette reviewed the Jacques Lee Pelletier event in Boston and emphasized how much posture you have when someone of JLP’s credentials raves about the Sei Bella product line. 

Next, check your Holiday Catalog for unique and fun gift ideas for your family, friends, pets and kids and reach out to your customers to be sure they know all the unique items there for a limited time. 

September incentives are coming to an end. Use the next 24 hours to button things up and increase your revenues. 

Paulette reminds us to get back to basics and not to overcomplicate things and make them sound difficult. Don’t rush. Keep your approaches and presentations simple and you will find people are more receptive. Build brand loyalty as you enroll preferred customers by helping them understand why and how Melaleuca can make sense for them and their family.  Also be sure you communicate the value of the Marketplace as one of the big benefits their Preferred Customer membership offers.

Have You Read Your Catalog Lately? Have You Called A Former Personal Contact, This Week?


Products are the Business: An interesting shopping story that Paulette relates about a trip to the Mall and a “drop in” to Yankee Candle, allows her to familiarize a long time customer with our own Melaleuca candles and wax melts. That triggers our Product of the Week: the Melaleuca Catalog itself. It is amazing how many of our enrollments have not reviewed it in months. It will help you and your team to know the products Melalueca has and the things you need to know about them, including their competitive prices. One week remains for the September, Leadership Development bonuses and the monthly drawing. Get up to speed and speed up your advancements. It’s all here for you to hear and share. Follow up, Ed tells us, is probably the most important element of being a successful business developer. Revisit your personal contacts and re-approach them and for goodness sakes, follow up your meeting “no shows” with friendly calls. Know the difference between NO and not right now, and reschedule with some clever tips that Ed shares. Do a re-contact plan and don’t fear the answers. Facing the fear of hearing no doesn’t make the fear go away, but it makes it less important. Remember that we are trying to help people.
