Products are the Business: Today’s product is Vitality Multivitamins. They are a special this month at only $12. That is a $5 savings, right at holiday time. Paulette also debunks the recent study that says, “Using multivitamins is useless”. Surprisingly, Paulette agrees because they didn’t test Melaleuca’s vitality, so the findings didn’t reflect our patented and unique formulation.
December incentives continue for everyone, including those who have taken Frank’s Challenge. It is time to finish up the details and wait for your check!
Paulette reminds us not to miss the January 4th Launch. It’s an opportunity to impress the guests you invite and at the same time increase your personal posture with your group. It is an opportunity to let them see a serious business in action…so invite, invite, invite. If you have earned a “Get Fit Bag”, you must be at the Launch to receive it. Our business development discussions are one of Ed’s favorite topics: the importance of staying in balance. Inventory your 2013 results and ask yourself, “was I playing offense AND defense”? Was I in balance? Paulette tells us that one of her favorite quotes is, “Every task, no matter how menial or boring, brings you closer to achieving your dream”. And finally, Ed and Paulette review 4 important questions you should ask yourself in 2014.
Get ready for Launch and Convention 2014.

Is there ever a better time to discuss a Plan B involving Melaleuca, a company that has NEVER had a layoff? Ed joins Paulette in a compelling discussion of the nine things, in and about your business that should be reviewed to prepare for a successful 2014. Even if you didn’t accomplish ALL of your 2013 goals, this can help you catch up and flourish in the upcoming year. Listen to the passion and energy that Ed generates as he discusses #s 7, 8 and 9. Learn from two of Melaleuca’s best. Convention 2014 is in 163 days. Launch is January 4th. Bring a guest and they will leave a believer.
Products are the Business: Paulette talks about Sei Bella foundation primer and liquid foundation. They are both competitive in quality with the finest (and most expensive) retail brands and are a much better value. This month you can save $10, when you purchase both. Be sure to read the “Vitality” magazine that comes in your monthly Melaleuca order. You’ll get health and weight-loss tips and some great recipes for both. In our business development discussion, Ed and Paulette remind us that your actions as a business developer and coach duplicate among the members of your team. Our book this month is “Talent Is Overrated”. It insists that deliberate effort and deliberate practice far exceed talent in successful outcomes within a specific environment. Then, Ed and Paulette share the top 12 ways to become a great coach. They actually analyze a business within Eddie’s group and share the “hard numbers” that determine success or failure. It can help you avoid, “pulling around a wagon without any wheels”. It’s great stuff that can help any business builder be more successful. Don’t think that developing a Melaleuca business is selling. It is not. Ed could not join today’s call because of travel commitments, but he would tell you helping is what you do, not selling. Paulette reminds us that Launch is only 33 days from today. It is the single biggest “game changer”, next to Convention. Make your plans. She also points out, that December is not the time to go under the “ether”. Many of Melaleuca’s best enrolled in December. Our book of the week is “Talent Is Overrated”, by Geoff Colvin, who tells us: “you are not born to be successful”. It is a result of “deliberate effort” and “deliberate practice”. That and lots more are here for you to share and succeed with. Convention is in 177 days. It will change your future. Thank you Dionne Tuplin :).
Products are the Business: Today’s product is really a bunch of them. Celebrate “Black Friday” with Melaleuca’s specials. The savings are incredible. Take advantage while supplies last, until midnight on Saturday. Paulette tells us about many of them, including their reduced prices. Business Development: Use the Holidays to reflect and re-direct your perspective. Don’t forget, Launch is January 4, 2014 so look up the location near you and gather your team. Ed asks the question: “where do you want to be when you walk in to Convention 2014”? It’s up to you to stretch and take yourself to the status that is your goal. Use your people skills during the Holidays. Remember that 40% of our Corporate Directors enrolled in December - so the holiday’s don’t matter, if you make up your mind to succeed.
Traditional careers generate linear income, Paulette tells us. Melaleuca is real residual income. That makes a significant difference compared to the incomes of a nurse or an accountant. Ed and Paulette go on to point out the traditional career path pensions vs. Melaleuca’s residual income and the time it takes. Linear income is not the answer for your retirement. Melaleuca’s residual income can be. As you grow your business, you will be surprised that the “Power of Attraction” begins to work for you. The key is not to pounce on your newfound interests and to use the right language when you explain the business that is generating your success. Raise the bar and you will raise your game. Ed and Paulette explain it in terms you will understand. They also talk about the importance of constructing and reviewing your matrix from time. They tell you how and why it is so important to you and your business. Convention 2014 is in 184 days. Button things up now and save yourself the anxiety of waiting too long.
Products are the Business: Today’s product is something everyone should be thinking about…a Holiday Cleaning Pack Special. In our business development segment, Paulette again refers to “Developing the Leader Within”, specifically Chapter 4, where it points out “how you create positive change in your business”. You are a leader and leaders have influence. Influence your people positively. They will rise to your level of expectations and the expectations of the other most important people in their lives. Paulette noted, that her mother always told her that everything in life was “a lesson or a gift”. To that, Ed adds a story about failure and its’ ability to generate success. Good stuff.
There is also a great discussion from Chapter 7 about developing your most appreciable asset: people. They listed the 10 Principles for People Development in a fascinating give and take where you will find that most failure is a result of “flawed” leadership. Don’t miss this.
Finally, Paulette and Ed shared some of the reports that you can access within the M.O.R.E. tool. Things that can make a real difference in your ability to make effective outcalls and how to make them more productive. Stay connected during the Holidays and your people will stay connected, that can begin with adding one contact a day. Do it and it will create Big Time results.
191 days ‘til Convention. Have you confirmed your travel plans and traveling partners?
Products are the Business: Today’s product is Sei Bella Day and Night eye duo, which usually sells for $34 each but in the month of November you can buy both for a savings of $15. Paulette points out that your eyes are the focal point of your face, the first thing people see and your eyes can look years younger using today’s product.
Our business development segment with Ed and Paulette is inspiring. From last week’s Connection, they talk again about the book, Developing The Leader Within. It talks about setting priorities - in short, “organize or agonize”. Think and do in the order of importance of each task. What is not important, decide not to do and give yourself permission to do that.
Paulette reminds us that 20% of your doing and 20% of the people you do it with, produce 80% of your results. Invest your time wisely.
Ed also related a story about a new enrollee Chris who is sure to succeed. Why? Because his contact list didn’t just contain names, but attributes that pointed to their Melaleuca success.
Paulette identified the need to read, listen and “raise your own leadership bar.” As Eddie puts it, in the later stages of your Melaleuca business’s development, “what stalls you…is you. You become what you think about. What are you thinking about?
Convention is in 198 days. Plan for it and plan for it to make a difference in your success. Motivate and inform with the Tuesday Power Hour.
