The Comfort Zone

The Comfort Zone

I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I couldn’t fail.
The same four walls of busy work were really more like jail.

I longed so much to do the things I’d never done before,
But I stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor.

I said ‘it didn’t matter’ that I wasn’t doing much.
I said I didn’t care for things like diamonds, furs and such.

I claimed to be so busy with the things inside my zone.
But deep inside I longed for something special of my own.

I couldn’t let my life go by, just watching others win.
So I held my breath and stepped outside to let the change begin.

I took a step and with new strength I’d never felt before
I kissed my comfort zone “goodbye” and closed and locked the door.

If you are in a comfort zone and afraid to venture out,
Remember that all winners too, were one time filled with doubt.

So take the step, get started, and then with joy you’ll shout:
“I’ve learned my lesson now – when in doubt I will reach out!

I’ll do the things I felt were hard, and make my dreams my own.
And never again will I be kept prisoner inside a comfort zone.”

Protect Your Health; Project Your Wealth For 2015

Products are the Business: Paulette tells us about flu season and the great timing of an Activate Special, now being offered 2 (capsules or drink mix) are under $20. She tells us about those savings and the advantages of this super Melaleuca product. If you are in an occupation where you have a lot of contact with the public, these special and other products that Melaleuca offers are a must.

Incentives ($1 memberships) and the Signed Planner end at midnight, the Director based incentives (including tickets to Convention 2015) continue until the end of the month. Paulette and Ed, then go into detail about January Launch and its importance to all of us. Remember to BE ON TIME or you may not get in, because this is a “simulcast” to 77 different locations across the country.

In the business development segment, Paulette begins with a conversation about the conversations you should be having during the Holidays. Ed gives us some examples of how to use those interactions to lead to appointments in the future. Be proactive about wishing your customers and business builders a Happy Holiday and thank them for all of their support (then invite them to Launch).

Get your mind thinking about success in 2015. Begin with a personal inventory of YOUR 2014. Did you “get ‘er done?” No matter…accomplish your new goals with “clear strategic intentions”. “Develop daily, weekly and monthly goals, then and only then, will you reach your long-term goals and achieve your WHY’, Ed tells us.

Paulette will be adding the: 10 things you can do in order to establish effective goals, to the blogspot. Review them. Copy them. And DO them. She and Ed review them for us right here. Paulette ends with a provocative and motivational poem about “getting out of your comfort zone.”

Next week, there will be no Leadership Call. Instead, there will be a SPECIAL webinar with Cisco Holland. He’ll be taking us through a complete overview of the Make Green Go Green system. In it he will be sharing the many attributes of the system and how it can change your future and the future of the team members, with whom you should be sharing it. From all of us, Happy Holidays to all of you. Make the New Year Green.

How To Set Goals

WRITE THEM DOWN

If it is not in writing, it is not a goal.  Write with your own hand (no typing.!) Science: your hand writing down your goals in the “I will” tense, signals it to act to fulfillment.  Writing crystallizes thought and thought crystallizes action.

MAKE THEM REALISTIC & BELIEVABLE
If you don’t believe you can achieve it - you won’t pay the price necessary to reach it.  GUIDELINE: Aim high – not out-of-sight, but just out-of-reach.

MAKE THEM PAINFULLY SPECIFIC AND MEASURABLE
“A goal is a dream with a deadline.” Guideline: If you can’t quantify your goal – with numbers and dates – it isn’t specific enough.

BREAK LONG-RANGE GOALS INTO SHORT-TERM DEADLINES
Short-term goals (daily, weekly, monthly) Mid-term goals (by June 30th) Long-term (by the end of the year)
“Divide-and-conquer” - immediate victories keep momentum/commitment level high.

ANCHOR THEM TO A STRONG WHY
If your “why” is strong enough the “how” figures itself out. What deep-rooted, in-your-gut reasons do you have for wanting this to happen?

IDENTIFY POSSIBLE OBSTACLES & A PLAN TO GET AROUND THEM
Plan ahead. Develop the “bring-it-on” mentality.  When life pushes and resists – push back.

IDENTIFY WHO YOU WILL NEED TO WORK WITH
No one is an island.  Mavericks will not win here.  Mission statement is designed for teamwork.  Assemble your team.

DEVELOP AN ACTION PLAN
Setting a goal is not the main thing – It’s deciding how you go about achieving it & staying with that plan”.  -- Tom Landry

Set business hours and stick to them - Don’t confuse activity (tension-relieving) with action (income-producing)

CONNECT – SET APPOINTMENTS – PRESENT – FOLLOW UP/COACH

STOP PROCRASTINATING & KIDDING YOURSELF..!
“If you want to keep on getting what you’ve got, just keep on doing what you’ve done.”  Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.  Develop a “do-it-now” work ethic.  If not now, when?

MAKE THE DECISION AND THEN COMMIT WITH RESOLVE 'NO MATTER WHAT’

Step out of the prison of your comfort zone.

With 2014 Coming To An End, Re-dedicate Yourself For 2015

Products are the Business: Recent headlines give Paulette cause to point out that all of Melaleuca’s products are Phthalate free. Paulette tells us the dangers, to women and unborn children, plus a whole lot more about this additive and the horrors associated with it.

December incentives re exciting, but we will, realistically, only have about a week left to take advantage of them, because of the upcoming Holiday Season. $1 memberships, until Dec. 22, will NOT be extended. A 2015 Planner, signed by Frank Vandersloot is yours for 2 quality enrollments; get 2 more and receive a NIKE designer running top. If you advance to Director for the first time, your advancement bonus will be $200 (instead of $100). If you develop a new first time Director, you’ll receive a FREE ($200 value) ticket to Convention 2015.

Cisco Holland joins Paulette and all of us today, because Ed is unavailable. The business development segment begins with Paulette discussing the importance of attending Launch (in only 18 days) and Cisco points out that we should be doing business with businesses that do business with us. Paulette and Cisco, then, talk about Jim Rohm’s “The 5 Keys to Develop a Plan for Success in the New Year.” They discuss each one, point by point, in some detail. This is valuable information for us all.

Finally, Paulette and Cisco talk about the three things that can make you a success in the New Year. (1) They speak, candidly, about the learning about and the using of Social Media and Social Marketing. (2) Becoming mature enough to risk and invest in your business, using the MakeGreenGoGreen subscription as an example. “You need a system to succeed.” Lastly, (3) Challenge yourself to raise the level of your game in 2015. Melaleuca is an incredible opportunity that is available and doable to everyone and by everyone, as a business. Recognize that opportunity for what it is. She (Paulette) and Cisco give you all the ways that you can make 2015, THE BEST YEAR EVER.

Paulette Honors Frank and Cisco Talks About Honor On The Internet.

Products are the Business: Limited time special on Simply Fit products. Paulette talks about 2: Simply Fit Popcorn only 1.05 per bag. Paulette explains why Melaleuca’s is different, and other reasons to try it. Simply Fit Snack Bars are also part of this discussion, and Paulette tells us that the 3 Bar Pack is a very special buy (save 20 cents per bar).

Paulette then talks about the honor of working with Frank Vandersloot, our Founder and CEO. Then she quotes from the publicity release announcing his recent (2015) Horatio Alger Award. Congratulations, Frank.

$1 memberships are available until Dec. 22 and they will NOT be extended. Bring your new members to Launch, and then Ed tells us why. Additional incentives include, 2 new enrollments get you a “Frank” signed 2015 planner; 2 more gets you a Nike running top. Become a new, Director and receive a 2x advancement bonus and if you develop a new, first time Director and get a free ticket to Convention 2015 (a $200 value).

The business development segment talks about NOT repeating the same mistakes, as a business builder and the coach of other business builders. Learn from those mistakes, that EVERYONE makes. Ed tells us to get better at our presentations, because we are in the presentation business. Paulette and Ed share an anecdote about Tom Brady and Bill Bellichek. Learn to ask the right questions and many of the ways are addressed, right here. Most of your enrollments want to win and Ed tells us how to tell them from those who don’t. He and Paulette, then go through Ed’s personal inventory that allows you to find out where your, and your personal enrollments problems may be. A great coach takes the time to help their team and make them into great coaches, too.

Cisco Holland then joins the discussion with a short recap of the recent MGGG training webinar, which, he tells us, is posted here on the blogspot and will remain there for one week; then it will be moved to the back room of the marketing section of MGGG. Cisco then talks about the dangers of spamming abuses on our system and the consequences he calls “e-mail jail”. Understand what the dangers are. This Wednesday, he will conduct some social media training with Ryan Harris the link is right here.

Launch is in 25 days and Convention 2015 is only 164 days away. Plan now and you will benefit later in 2015.

A Special Price On Provex CV and Some Special Changes On MGGG

Products are the Business: Provex CV is a $5 Savings Special. Paulette tells us about the uniqueness of Provex CV, as it stimulates the release of nitric oxide to keep our blood pressure regulated and increase oxygen & blood flow. She tells us how important that is and much, much more.

Exciting December incentives are covered in depth and you are encouraged to listen to the first of the month call as Frank and Darrin talk about them all and the exciting new global headquarters.

The business development segment begins with Paulette and Ed reminding everyone that 40% of all Corporate Directors opened their accounts in December and Ed tells us the reasons why.

Paulette explains why December can be a tough month to stay in balance and she gives us some tips to make sure you do. Critical activities are on-going, they are not a single event - especially Critical Activity #1 - the Contact List.

Cisco Holland joins the call and tells us about new changes in the MGGG system site and why they have been made. He provided a link, so many were able to view as he explained some of the changes. Among them: the ability to link directly to social media, article marketing and sharing, and your own personal webinar ability, all of this at no additional charge above your MGGG subscription. This is very, very exciting stuff.

Cisco will be doing a training webinar Wednesday eve at 9p (EST); the link is here on the blogspot. In Ed’s words, “if there ever was a time to share the MGGG system with your team, Wednesday night’s webinar is the time.”

Cisco concludes with a comment that using the system is now streamlined to the point where it will allow you to use your contact system to it’s full potential, allowing you to grow at rates never before possible. Launch is in 32 days and Convention 2015 is in 171 days.
The time is NOW.
